Miami is solidifying its reputation as a leading destination for gourmet dining, as reflected in the latest accolades from the prestigious MICHELIN Guide. This year, Florida welcomed nine new restaurants to its list of MICHELIN-Star winners, with several Miami spots standing out. The announcement was made during a glamorous event in Tampa, highlighting the rich variety and growing dynamism of Miami’s food scene.

At the forefront is L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, which has maintained its two-star rating, showcasing exceptional quality and luxury that attract serious food lovers. This restaurant continues to be a highlight for those seeking top-notch dining experiences in Miami.

Stubborn Seed

Stubborn Seed has proudly earned a Michelin star, affirming its position as a standout in Miami's culinary scene. This accolade celebrates the restaurant's commitment to innovative and exceptional dining experiences. Adding to the celebration, we recently featured Ignacio Garcia-Menocal, CEO and Founder of Grove Bay Hospitality Group, on our podcast. During the episode, Ignacio shared insights into the strategic vision and creative passion that have driven their success, including the impact of this prestigious recognition.

New stars were also awarded to local favorites, emphasizing Miami's diverse culinary offerings. EntreNos, led by Chefs Evan Burgess and Osmel Gonzalez, impressed with its focus on Florida’s seasonal ingredients, offering standout dishes like the smoked dry-aged cobia. This dish not only shows the chefs' creativity but also their dedication to using local products.

Japanese cuisine remains a strong influence in Miami, with both Ogawa and Shingo earning stars for their expert sushi. Chef Masayuki Komatsu at Ogawa delivers an exceptional omakase (chef-selected) experience, and Chef Shingo Akikuni at Shingo provides a detailed, seasonally attentive sushi counter experience.

This year, the MICHELIN Guide also awarded a Green Star to Los Félix/Krüs Kitchen for their commitment to sustainability. This includes sourcing from local farms and minimizing waste, part of a larger movement towards environmentally friendly dining practices.

With 26 Florida restaurants now boasting MICHELIN stars and a total of 149 noted establishments, Florida’s culinary prestige continues to rise. The state features an impressive 38 different types of cuisines, highlighting the diversity and excellence of its food scene, which draws both residents and visitors.

Miami’s dining scene offers more than just meals; it provides unforgettable culinary experiences. The city’s featured spots in the MICHELIN Guide confirm its status as a top food destination, not just a beach getaway. We celebrate our local chefs and restaurants for their notable achievements and encourage food lovers to explore these exceptional places where dining is an experience to be savored. Miami’s culinary excellence is truly making its mark globally.
