Reviving Glamour: The Shore Club's Transformation into Miami Beach's Next Luxury Icon

By: Steve Turk

Miami Beach is on the brink of a major transformation in the world of luxury hospitality. The Shore Club, a historic gem from the 1940s located on the famous Collins Avenue, is getting a massive makeover. By 2027, it will reopen as part of the Auberge Resorts Collection, known for their stunning hotels and resorts around the globe. This is big news because it signifies a fresh chapter for The Shore Club, which will feature 73 guest rooms and suites, including a lavish rooftop penthouse, as well as 49 residences and a private villa up for sale

The people behind this ambitious project are thrilled to bring something new to Miami Beach, a place known for its unique blend of nature, art, culture, and entertainment. With the combined expertise of the Auberge Resorts Collection, the Witkoff Group, and the renowned architectural firm Robert A.M. Stern Architects, The Shore Club is set to become a new hotspot that captures the vibrant spirit of Miami Beach.

The new Shore Club is not just about adding another luxury hotel to the area. It’s about merging the past with the present in a way that’s respectful yet forward-looking. The development will include the original Shore Club, designed in the Miami Modern style by Albert Anis, and the 1930s Art Deco Cromwell Hotel. Plus, there'll be a new 18-story residential tower and a spacious 8,000-square-foot villa, all under the Auberge banner. The design is set to impress, with the new tower featuring a wave-like exterior and yacht-inspired interiors filled with rich wood and brass accents.

But it's not just about the looks; the amenities are top-notch too. Think of dining in a restaurant with views of the ocean, lounging by one of the three pools, relaxing in the spa, or working out in the gym. And if you're lucky enough to own a residence there, you'll get access to even more exclusive perks like a private pool, a library, and a lounge.

This development is a part of a larger movement that's bringing new life to Collins Avenue, a street known for its legendary Art Deco hotels. With The Raleigh also set to reopen in late 2026 under the Rosewood brand, The Shore Club's relaunch is a key piece of Miami Beach's luxury puzzle, joining the ranks of other anticipated openings like Aman, Rosewood, Bvlgari, and Andaz. It's an exciting time for Miami Beach, as it continues to cement its status as a top destination for luxury and style.
